So I’m the first to admit I’m massively missing the gym more specifically group exercise classes namely BodyCombat and BodyAttack.
Now we‘ve all seen those people that have been giving it big licks doing their home workouts or streaming the classes they’re doing and posting all sorts of pictures. And let’s not forget the preachy PT’s.
But I’ll be honest I’ve struggled...
I live in a flat - I worry about my neighbours being disturbed by me jumping about my living room
There isn’t the space to do BodyAttack.
My open plan flat is now my living space, my eating space and working space. So making it the exercise space has been tough.
So I’ve persevered I’ve been getting out for those walks. I signed up to Les Mills On Demand through the Village Gym. It’s taken a while and the intensity isn’t the same, but I’m trying and last night was probably my best session at home yet.
I’ve stopped worrying about the neighbours they would have said something by now if they thought an elephant was going to come through the floor.
I’ve found releases of BodyCombat that I loved.
There is no right and wrong in any of this and as always I’ve done my own thing. I can’t wait to get back to the gym so I’m not buying elastic bands, bikes or weights I won’t use when we come out of lockdown.
